It’s been a long time coming and honestly I feel like the quote “All good things come to an end” is very fitting for this. Simplygold has been a Degrassi main stay for quite some time and I’m blown away by the following it has. To be a part of such an amazing group of writers was truly a blessing. Rping can be difficult at times but every single character that I’ve seen enter and exit this group has been such a talented writer I can honestly say that it’s been a privilege to be associated with them. I kind of feel like most of us in the group have grown out of RPing and just prefer to either enjoy the show or have moved on to other things and honestly I’m a little bit of both. Taking on such a big job was certainly scary but I’m glad to have been a part of the family that is Simplygold. I don’t consider any role minor in this group while others may. I feel that the stories alone made for amazing memories that I hope will float around on tumblr as long as the show is still running. So I thank you all for accepting me and sticking with me even through trials and tribulations. From working with Clare to interacting with the new niners, it’s been a fun ride. I hope that every RPer gets as much enjoyment out of RPing as I know I did. I encourage you to move on to Eli’s that I KNOW are amazing. Rping is certainly an escape but most of all it’s about letting your imagination take you to places you might not go otherwise.

Thank you to all the gif makers, banner makers, music guru’s, major supporters. You’ve helped build this page to what it is. I’d name you all individually but the likelihood of me forgetting someone is great and I’d hate to leave any of you out.

To the dedicated fans,

Every story, every post, every mix- you were there. It warms my heart to know that so many people can come together to talk about something they love so much. Retiring this blog was something I struggled with for many reasons but most of all I didn’t want to let all of you down. Retiring this page with 2,089 followers makes me feel accomplished. I struggled because I didn’t want to end something I knew so many people loved but the truth is I was a fan before I took on the role. I’ve been a fan since day one and know that those fans that are dedicated and share the love I have for this family won’t be disappointed. SG will be something that’s talked about forever. It will live on through those 2,000+ people that stayed up late, laughed, cried and genuinely cared for not just the words on the screen but the characters being portrayed. Thank you for everything.

I could talk forever about the memories created but I’ve always felt less is more when it comes to saying goodbye. I’m moving on with my life but I’ll always carry the love for this group with me. It’s a happy chapter of my life that’s come to an end and I am grateful to have made it through. I wish the rest of the group best of luck and hope that they continue to shine when it comes to their writing. From Clare to Wesley- it’s been an honor. I will be closing the messages at midnight tonight. After that this page will be considered a memory. Thank you for creating some of the best with me.
