Eli packed a bag and told Bullfrog he was heading out for a while before he hopped on his bike and started for Imogen’s. He was nervous about their first official date but talked to his therapist about staying in his comfort zone if he was going to start dating again so he picked something that kept him calm. He tried to tell Imogen to dress casual but he knew that if Fiona had any say in the matter she would be dressed far beyond where they were going. He pulled up to her house and walked to the door making sure to pull the flowers out of the bag to give to her but before he could knock Imogen opened the door. “Eli! Fancy meeting you here.” She said making him smile as he looked her attire over to see her in a black shirt with some sort of skirt suspender get up with tights and multicolored tutu to boot. “This is casual?” I asked and she looked herself over. “It’s casual me with a hint of Fion’s. Does it not look good for our date?” She looked at herself and Eli stepped closer. “You look beautiful. These are for you. I couldn’t really decide but I remembered you liked purple so I grabbed one of each.” Eli handed Imogen the flowers and she smiled as she smelled them. “You’re the first boy to ever give me flowers.” She said blushing. “Should I come in and meet your parents?” Eli asked and Imogen shook her head. “Dad’s working late and Mom’s…out. I’ll just set these on the table and we can go.” Imogen ran into her house before running back to the door. “So where to Eli Goldsworthy? I’m ready to be dazzled.” Imogen said dramatically making Eli laugh. “Well if you grab your bike we can head out. It’s not far.” Eli said and Imogen’s smile faltered. “We’re…biking?” She asked and Eli took her hand into his. “I’m not completely lame I promise. I am quite a romantic.” He said before kissing her hand. Imogen blushed again before walking to the side of her house and grabbing her bike. “Lead the way Casanova.” She smiled.
Eli had told Bullfrog that his friend sent him an SOS and that he’d be home as soon as he could be and surprisingly Bullfrog let him go. It didn’t take long for him to find Imogen on his bike but rode right past her at first. “Imogen?” He said squinting his eyes. She was wearing a fancy black dress with her hair down and hold heels in her hands. “No just the monster Fiona created.” She said with a frown. “You look really nice though…different but nice.” Eli looked her up and down and knew she probably wouldn’t want to get on his handlebars. “I suppose handlebars are out of the question.” He pitched and she laughed. “All I want to do is give this dress back to Fiona and forget this whole night. The last thing I need is to wreck it.” She said making Eli get off his bike and walk next to it. “You didn’t have to come find me.” Imogen added and Eli shook his head. “You’re my friend Imogen. I’m not going to let you walk home alone in the dark.” Eli said making her smile.
Eli: Heard what happened. Riding around if you want to talk. I have a cookie with your name on it.
